The big story of the weekend definetely came in Ashdod, where Shmuel Moses showed plenty of skill as well as concentration in compiling a massive individual score of 162. Moses, who was dropped on 15 and again on 47, made his visitors pay for their sloppy fielding, with powerful hitting, especially straight down the ground. Raymond Aston chipped in with a quick 38 at the end of the innings, taking Young Ashdod to 315 for 9 in their 40 overs. Ra'anana got off to a decent start, with young Shlomi Korman (36) again showing his talent, but they failed to put a meaningful partnership together. Raz Ben Zaken scored an excellent 62, but he was fighting a hopeless cause and he was last man out with the score on 253. Although Moses was undoubtedly the man of the match, Young Ashdod captain Danny Malyankar also starred in taking 5 for 40 with the ball.
