Scorecard
Gary Wilson's maiden ODI hundred set Ireland up for an impressive 70-run victory against Netherlands in Dublin. Wilson hit 113 as the hosts reached 275 for 6 and in reply Netherlands never gained a foothold in the chase as Ireland's spinners built on the early inroads made by Kevin O'Brien.
The home side were on top throughout the day as Wilson and Paul Stirling (40) added 82 in 20 overs for the first wicket. Wilson was then joined by Paul Cusack (45) as the pair formed the backbone of the innings with a partnership of 118.
Wilson, who plays county cricket for Surrey, eventually gave a catch to long-on and Ireland may have hoped for an even better total as Netherlands' bowlers did a decent job in the closing overs, but the total was always going to be a tough ask for their batting line-up.
It became an even taller order when O'Brien struck with the new ball as Tom Heggelman pulled to midwicket on his debut and Eric Szwarczynski was bowled by an excellent delivery. O'Brien added a third when Wesley Barresi drove to cover to leave Netherlands 66 for 3 in the 15th over.
Netherlands' hopes rested with Tom Cooper, and for a while he flourished during a 57-ball 68 which included 10 fours and six, but when he was stumped in the 25th over the visitors' chances went with him. Andrew White then ran through the lower order with his offspin to claim a career-best 4 for 44 amid some tail-end swinging.
