Ticket troubles
Nari Contractor, the former India captain, was not allowed to enter the DY Patil Stadium for the IPL final last Sunday, as he didn't possess the badge supposed to accompany the ticket given to him by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). Contractor told Cricinfo that the tickets were given to the MCA by the IPL organisers, but without the badges, leading to the embarrassment.
Lalchand Rajput, the joint-secretary of the MCA, said the matter will be taken up during the BCCI's working committee meeting on May 2. "It needed my personal call to IPL CEO Sundar Raman before they were allowed in after a long wait, but Contractor had, by then, returned home. I did not know he had gone back till he informed me about it the next day," he was quoted as saying by PTI. "The matter will be taken up at the Board's Working Committee meeting."
