Profile

Karan Goel, a left-hand opening batsman and part-time offspinner, made his way through the ranks of Punjab's various age-group sides, starting from the Under-14s to the U-22s, before breaking into the senior state side in the 2005-06 season. While he has become a regular for the Punjab and North Zone sides, he has been more successful in the shorter versions of the game. Averages of around 40 in both one-dayers and Twenty20s convinced Kings XI Punjab to sign him on for the Indian Premier League.
