Harbhajan in the firing line, cheerleaders cover up

Harbhajan faces 10-match ban
Harbhajan Singh, who is in the dock for allegedly hitting Sreesanth, will know his fate after an official hearing in New Delhi today afternoon. Harbhajan faces a minimum 10-match ban if found guilty. Meanwhile, Sreesanth himself faces action for his "provocative action".

Trouble in Eden
The Eden Gardens, which faced flak for a torrid pitch and a power disruption its first IPL game, is in the news again after 500 metres of electricity and telephone cables were stolen from the stadium last night. While the match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Mumbai Indians scheduled for April 29 will not be affected as the authorities have replaced the cables, a complaint has been lodged at the Maidan Police Station. Meanwhile, Prasun Mukherjee, the chairman of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), alleged sabotage. "I am shocked. Somebody having good knowledge of the ground has done it," Mukherjee told Zeecric.com.

Modesty is the best policy
The Deccan Chargers' cheerleaders followed the police dictact to dress in a "decent manner" during yesterday's match in the outskirts of Mumbai. The cheerleaders wore full length tights beneath their regular outfits and the police were pleased with the way things panned out. "Our personnel were keeping a tight vigil on the performances. I am glad to say everything went off smoothly. We did not find anything objectionable in the dances or the dresses," Ramrao Wagh, the Navi Mumbai police commissioner, told the Hindustan Times
