First Pollock cramped him by bowling a tight line, and so prevented him using his arms, and then Boucher came up to the stumps to stop him using his feet 27/1

17.4 to Marshall, gone! Got him! This is fine bowling from Nel. He set Marshall up the previous three balls, just moving the ball ever so slightly back into the righthander and this time Marshall plays on. 76/3

16.2 to Astle, got him! Astle loses his head, and his stumps, as Hall pitches this right up and Astle, making room for himself, is beaten by a really well-directed yorker. 74/2

20.6 to Fulton, and he's gone! Kallis picks up a wicket in his first over, on his birthday too. The bouncer and Fulton spoons it to Boucher - he really should have left that alone. 86/4

41.4 to Franklin, oh he's got him! Kallis fires in a bouncer which Franklin can't quite cope with, spooning the ball off his elbow and onto the stumps. He was looking quite settled, Franklin, too. 180/8

43.5 to Fleming, oh, what a way to go - a leg-side drifter picked up and lofted straight down to Pollock at fine-leg who didn't need to move a muscle. End of a really fine innings in sapping conditions 192/9

25.5 to Oram, A strangley low-key dismissal. Oram was caught on the crease playing a defensive push, a thin edge into his pads looped high and short leg ambled in to take the catch. Barely an appeal and Oram departs 99/5

33.6 to McCullum, a bit more flight and McCullum early on the shot which was a drive back firmly to Peterson's right and the bowler takes a good tumbling catch 135/6

36.6 to Vettori, well, well. That was on course to being a third wide but Vettori tried to cut the ball fine and only succeeded it running the ball off the face of the bat straight into Boucher's gloves. He really had to reach to even get something on that one 156/7

0.5 to Dippenaar, got him! There's the breakthrough for New Zealand as Dippenaar is trapped in front to one which angled in and just straightened a touch. 1/1

2.1 to Gibbs, GONE! That's a cracker, an absolute gem from Mills angling into Gibbs and creeping through his forward defence, plucking the off-bail. Terrific length in particular, dragging the batsman forward and there was just enough movement off the pitch to beat the bat 3/2

8.1 to Kallis, GONE! Great catch, that's a blinder from Mills and Kallis trudges off shaking his head. Kallis pushes at it back to Mills who, in his follow-through, throws out his right arm taking it behind him. He even had the awareness to roll, not fall, onto the pitch to prevent it bobbling out. Huge wicket, and a memorable half-an-hour for Mills 25/3

14.6 to Boucher, Gone! He's out of here and Boucher shakes his head. It was a dreadful stroke, slashing at a wide one. You really can't slash like that in these circumstances, and he gets a bottom-edge through to the wicketkeeper 50/4

20.6 to Smith, oh dear. Smith tried to force a ball over the infield and it wasn't short enough. He was late on the shot and spooned it to Vettori who didn't have to move off the line of the fielding circle at mid off 69/5

22.5 to Pollock, Pollock goes. He checked on his shot and the ball spooned gently to Patel at extra cover. They don't come easier than that. 71/6

31.3 to Peterson, another one gone! Well flighted outside the left-hander's off stump who spoons it straight into short-leg's hands. Vettori leaps up in celebration, and is mobbed by his team-mates who all know they have this game by the throat 100/8

30.6 to Hall, GOT HIM! Down the leg-side and turning further still, Hall chips it meekly in the air and straight to short midwicket. Dreadful stroke, and New Zealand pump their fists 99/7

32.6 to Nel, got him! Now that's a real cracker, superbly bowled from Patel. He gave that an extra rip; the quicker ball, flatter too, and it beat the batsman all ends up. He was in no position to counter the spin, his wafty defensive, and utterly horizontal stroke making no contact and off came the bail. 105/9

34.1 to Ntini, GONE and what a delivery to end this match! He ripped it hard and flat, outside the off stump and it turned quite markedly; the extra pace, as much as the spin, left Ntini no hope in defending it and it broke through the gate to remove his off bail.
