The ICC has confirmed the two possible dates and venues - both of which are in South Africa - for the final of the Intercontinental Cup.
With one match remaining in the group stage of the tournament, only Namibia is assured of its place in the decider. Their opponents will be one of Kenya or Ireland, whose match gets underway in Nairobi on October 11. Ireland won their last game, a thrilling low-scoring encounter over Namibia, on Saturday.
If Ireland, the defending champions, take all 20 points from the match, they will proceed to their third final in a row. However, if Kenya can win the game or even take first-innings points, they will join Namibia in the final.
A Namibia v Ireland final will take place at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth, from 30 October while a final involving Namibia and Kenya will be held at the Outsurance Oval, Bloemfontein, from November 6. The reason for different dates is because of varying commitments of the teams involved and the limited availability of the grounds in question. In addition, a neutral venue is preferred over one side enjoying home advantage.
Last year's final between Ireland and Canada was held at Grace Road, Leicestershire's home ground.
