Honours even after the first day's play between Malaysia and Hong Kong in a Fast Track Countries Tournament match played at Selangor Turf Club.

Kuala Lumpur: Honours were even at stumps on the first day of the three-day Fast Track Cricket Tournament (FTCT) between Hong Kong and Malaysia played at the Selangor Turf Club Ground in Jalan Sungei Besi, Kuala Lumpur today.
Hong Kong batting first scored 239 all out in 89 overs. Opening batsman Nasir Hameed hit 72 runs off 187 balls laced with 7 fours and a six. Mark Eames (49), Ilyas Gul (30) and Tabarak Dar (33) featured among the runs to help the visitors to a decent score.
Malaysian captain Suresh Navaratnam took 4 for 51 while spinner Rohan Vishnu Suppiah had 2 for 44.
In reply the home team openers Rohan Mark Selvaratnam (34 n.o.) and Rakesh Madhavan (12 n.o.) put up an unbeaten 47 runs opening partnership off 14 overs before the day's play ended at 6.37 pm.
An interesting day's play is in store for the second day which is scheduled to start at 10.00 am.
