A meeting of a Disciplinary Panel of the ECB held at Lord's today found proved against Umpire Alan Whitehead a breach of the ECB Directive relating to fair and proper conduct on the field of play.
This follows an incident during the Norwich Union National Cricket League match between Warwickshire CCC and Durham CCC on Sunday 23 July.
Mr Whitehead was cautioned as to his future conduct and ordered to pay £250 towards the costs of the hearing. In making its decision, the Panel took into account Mr Whitehead's long and distinguished career as a player and umpire.
