Former ECB Chairman of Marketing Brian Downing OBE has succeeded the Rt. Hon John Major CH as Surrey County Cricket Club's President.
Brian Downing has been Deputy President of the Club for the past two years and was unanimously voted in as the Club's new President at last Wednesday's AGM.
Brian has been a Surrey supporter since 1946 and joined the Committee in 1964 and has subsequently served in a variety of different roles with the Club over the last 30 years.
Brian Downing OBE stated: "I can think of no greater honour than being invited by the Club to be its President"
