England today announced that Mark Ramprakash had been ruled out of the 1st npower Test Match at Edgbaston this Thursday against Australia after aggravating a hamstring injury while batting for Surrey yesterday in the CricInfo County Championship. Ramprakash is expected to be out of action for about 10 days.
England will make an announcement about a replacement for Ramprakash later today.
