A slow left-arm bowler who extracts great turn, Dawn Holden originally played much more indoor cricket than outdoor. But she soon adapted to the more traditional version of the game, and played for England Under-17, Under-21 and the England A side which won the European Cup in 1999. Holden, a quietly confident character, started playing with Rochester boys U12. She also trained at the Nottinghamshire County Academy.
