A promising top-order right-hand batsman, Lett impressed when he made his first-class debut at 19 in 2006 and posted 50 for Somerset against Glamorgan. He did not add many runs in his other two games that season, and he was named Somerset's 2nd XI Player of the Year. He has made handy contributions for Oxford UCCE in 2007 and 2008.
