Steven Finn is a very tall right-arm fast-medium bowler who made his county debut for Middlesex as a 16-year-old in 2005, the youngest to do so since Fred Titmus in 1949, and one who if handled correctly could go on to become a real exiting prospect. He broke into the Middlesex side in 2007 and delayed going to university in 2008 to try to cement his place. He has played for England at Under-16, 17, 18 and 19 levels, touring Malaysia with the U-19s in 2006-07. He is also a county basketball player, unsurprising given his height. He was called up to England's performance squad in India in 2007, and was selected for England's Under-19 World Cup squad in 2008.
