Rupert Charles Kitzinger
Profile

Rupes is a giant of a man at 6'8" tall. He has had a long and successful career with Dorset CCC, the highlight of which was the MCCA one day final at Lord's in 2006. Rupes is a genuine and intelligent cricketer who grew up through the ranks at Surrey CCC as a top order batsman and it was not until his last days at school (Royal Grammar School, Guildford) when, as captain, he took the ball and began to bowl seriously. He then coached himself to be an accurate and economical fast-medium bowler. As a bright student of the game he worked his way through ECB coaching qualifications and has worked as a player/coach in New Zealand for Te Puke CC in the Bay of Plenty and also for the prestigious Kowloon Cricket Club in Hong Kong. He was a coaching ambassador for the ECB and Lord's Taverners in 2008 to New Zealand and he works as the head coach and manager of the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy. Rupes also tutors ECB Coach Education courses and is the coach of the very successful Sussex CCC Women.
