Profile

David Goodchild was an opening batsman who briefly showed promise when he scored 83 on being drafted into the Middlesex side in 1998 and followed with 105 in his next match against the Sri Lankans and then 73 against Warwickshire. But his next eight innings produced only 45 runs and aside from one outing against Cambridge University in 1999, that was it. He was released by Middlesex at the end of 2000.
