Nathan Dumelow made his first-class debut at the age of 20 in 2001, against the touring Pakistanis, and made an instant impact with four top-order wickets, including Yousuf Youhana and Inzamam-ul-Haq. A classical spinner who gave the ball air, his opportunities at Derbyshire were limited, and in 2005, he was released from the final year of his contract. Andrew Miller (February 2005)
