Dawson was released by Gloucestershire at the end of the 1999 season, and is
yet to find a new county. He made his first class debut in 1992, achieving
only moderate
success.
A top-order batsman, Dawson has the talent, but seems to lack in the mental
toughness required in the first class game. He played just one first class
match in 1999, before being told his contract wouldnt be renewed.
