England / Grounds
The Wilton Park cricket ground lies next to the A40 on the east side of the town of Beaconsfield, It is a picturesque ground lined with trees and has a large car park for the public amid spacious surroundings.
The entrance is on the north side of the A40 between two roundabouts, the more easterly of which leads to the M40.
The straight boundaries on the ground are short, making it quite possible for a straight six to clear the sightscreen and the low row of trees behind it and land in the A40 itself. The pavilion is on the west side of the ground. Shops are less than half a mile away to the west of the ground, in the old section of the town itself.
