Profile
Ian was born and raised in Tasmania, for whom he played Sheffield Shield cricket. He came to Scotland in 1983 as a professional cricketer and has played for three different clubs on that basis. He has been permanently resident in Scotland for over 10 years and, apart from playing cricket has the unusual profession of antique restorer. While his batting opportunities have been few and far between during his 16 caps, he has bowled consistently well for his adopted country off a 2-pace run up. He achieved the distinction of taking a wicket with his first delivery for Scotland against the M.C.C. in 1992 trapping Roland Butcher lbw at Lord's. His best bowling performance has been 3 for 33 against the Earl of Arundel's XI in 1996.
