Bobby Parks played for Hampshire and Kent. His 700 dismissals from 1980-92 were a county record when he retired. He stayed on the staff as wicketkeeping coach, spent a decade as an accountant before returning to the county to spend eight years at the Hampshire Academy.
He is the grandson of Jim Parks senior and son of Jim Parks junior. Although he could not emulate his two grand relations, he kept wicket for England during a Test against New Zealand at Lord's in 1986 as a substitute for Bruce French who had been struck by a bvouncer from Richartd Hadlee. In 1998 he was named the coach of the France national cricket team.
