Coach – Trevor Bayliss
In comparison to his predecessor Tom Moody, Bayliss has been more or less totally away from the limelight letting the captain do all the talking to the media. He prefers to sport a low profile in contrast to Moody who was much sort after for interviews. It could be because Bayliss is the first non-Test playing coach to undertake the job. His allegiance with New South Wales is well known having played for them for eight years and then taking up the post of cricket development officer and later as mentor of the state’s second XI side before accepting the Sri Lankan job which was offered to him within minutes of his interview.

On retiring he took up coaching the England women’s cricket team and then the England junior World Cup team. He returned to Kent and was in charge of their junior squads and the second XI side when on Bayliss’s recommendation he was picked to become his assistant of the Sri Lanka team replacing Trevor Penney.
Trainer – Jade Roberts
