87b to A Capsey, that drop won't cost the Spirit. Angles this length ball in towards the stumps, and Capsey clears her front leg to swipe over the leg side. Hits it very well, but picks out the fielder at deep square leg. The end of a terrific innings. She's really announced herself here. 109/4 90b to MK Villiers, gone. Full now, angling into leg stump to deny Villiers swinging room. 22b to GJ Gibbs, given, and that's a brave decision from the umpire! Gibbs steps out, doesn't get to the pitch of this dipping offbreak, and looks to flick it away. Pitches outside off, spins past the inside edge and hits front pad. We'll have to see where the impact was, and what Hawkeye makes of where it was headed. 76b to CL Tryon, slower ball, Tryon completely foxed - and given! Was that lbw, or a stumping? Might have been close to impact outside the line, but she asks umpire Lloyd on the way off and there's no review. She heaved a cross-batted shot that failed to connect, Invincibles went up for the lbw; Tryon then appeared to leave her ground, so Bryce smashed the stumps for good measure. 75/4 77b to FR Davies, bowled her, golden duck for Davies! Another slowie and it's right on target as Davies swipes across the line! No doubt about the method of dismissal here. This wasn't easy, running back from backward square, took it coming down over her right shoulder... and then explodes in celebration, eyes popping, "C'mon!" the roar. Sprinting in, she was struggling to get there but threw herself full length and came up with the goods! Wicket for van Niekerk, Spirit lose their second. 27/2 85b to HC Knight, Knight goes for the slog-sweep, but is taken in the deep! That's the game, you'd think... van Niekerk gets her opposite number, Knight attempting to hit to the longest part of the ground but she couldn't get enough on it. Gibbs plunges to take a safe catch, and the Invincibles erupt. They know they're nearly home. 83/6 86b to SE Rowe, Rowe castled first ball! Tossed up, BIG air on the ball, Rowe made the move but was nowhere near it, skidding through to rattle the stumps and leave van Niekerk on a hat-trick. 83/7 | ||||||||||
