2.4 to Q de Kock, full on off and the drive is mistimed. In the air, and gobbled up by mid off! Pays the price for being a bit too adventurous. A potentially devastating innings ends in under 10 balls. 31/1 4.2 to JN Malan, full on middle. And he looks to hit it over mid on, but the bat's face turns in his hand. Shot goes towards Singh at midwicket instead. The ball hits his palm, then nearly goes to ground, but Singh dives to complete a fumbled catch. Another one for Adair!. 37/2 17.5 to GF Linde, taken at long-off. Another slower ball on off, and Linde goes for the slog straight down the wicket, but can only manage to keep it hanging in the air for a long time, as the ball ends in Simi's hands on the boundary. 5.1 to T Bavuma, out reverse sweeping! Oh dear. Full outside off. Tries to play the unconventional shot to this ball that did not turn at all, and it gets a tiny edge to the wicketkeeper. Ireland on top with three wickets inside the powerplay. 44/3 14.1 to AK Markram, and Markram is stumped first ball! The doosra comes into play, as Markram dances down to this fullish ball on off, which keeps turning away from him as he tries to heave that away to deep midwicket. Pretty easy for the keeper, and a big wicket for Ireland at the death. 115/5 | ||||||||||

10.2 to HE van der Dussen, full and wide again, and this time the drive is toe-ended. Straight to cover. Another batter falling trying to clear the infield, tempted by the small boundaries. 79/4 18.1 to DA Miller, edged behind, and South Africa's push at the death probably comes to an end. Slower ball on a full length just outside off, and Miller tries to half-heave-half-slash at that by making room and standing on leg stump. But he gets an outside edge as he loses his bottom hand from what seemed like he was late to that shot. There was a brief scare for Ireland when the umpire wanted to check Little's front foot again, but he's all good in the end. 144/7 | ||||||||||

But the ball was too full for that shot, as it struck his middle stump to leave Linde leaping. 6/1 10.2 to LJ Tucker, bowled him! Good length ball on middle - also looked like that kept a little low - and that goes on with the arm to hit middle, with Tucker giving himself too much of room outside leg. 1.1 to KJ O'Brien, chipped back, and O'Brien goes without scoring. Soft dismissal, as he pushes this fullish length delivery on off to Rabada without moving his feet. 3.1 to GH Dockrell, and a wicket first ball. Faint tickle behind to the keeper. Good length ball on middle and off, and angles into the batter, who tries to make room. But the movement into him means the ball is almost following the batter on his path, as Ngidi celebrates with a leap. 23/3 5.1 to A Balbirnie, this time de Kock has it much easier. Change of pace to go with the cutter on a good length just outside off, as the batter makes room to try and lift that over the covers. 7.5 to Simi Singh, cleaned him up with that tossed up delivery. Very full ball on off, and that was very loopy too. He almost goes down on his back knee to sweep, but played too early. The ball goes on to hit his off stump, with no turn on this occasion. 46/5 11.1 to SC Getkate, bowled him with the wrong 'un this time. Another tossed up ball on middle and on a good length. Bowled very slow to allow it to turn, which it does, but goes the other way round to hit off stump as the batter is completely foxed while going for the half-hearted slash with an angled bat. 70/7 11.3 to MR Adair, nabbed at long-off. Goes full throttle to this full ball on off by going down on his back knee and clearing his front leg. But gets it off the higher part of the bat and sends it flying to the fielder. 70/8 13.4 to HT Tector, dances down and he's stumped. Another wrong 'un, as it turns away after pitching on middle. de Kock waits and waits before clipping the bails, as if to mock the batter, who's way down the pitch.
