In order to widen the community sports club network, Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD)) gave out the “Community Sports Club Programme” in July, 2001 in order to assists various National Sports Association, including Hong Kong Cricket Association (HKCA), to establish the community sports clubs, and allocates funding to assist the clubs to be able to conduct sports development.

In fact, the Community Sports Club is a very important element of sports develop the.It is very helpful to expand the participation of each sport and excavate more outstanding athletes. In the present generation of sports world, a lot of outstanding athletes were trained by the community sports clubs.
