AMW and HNB win

ASSOCIATED MOTORWAYS scored a fine 7_wicket win over Singer in their Mercantile `A' division cricket encounter at Reid Avenue yesterday.
In reply to Singers' 155 off 44 overs, AMW, aided by two entertaining knocks by Janaka Kumudu (40), and Nishantha Tillekeratne( 62 n.o.), reached the required runs off 36 overs.
At the Premadasa Stadium, Khettarama, Hatton National Bank beat John Keells by 75 runs. Left-hander Avishka Gunawardena was in good nick, hammering 81 off 96 balls with eight fours and a six for the bankers.
At Reid Avenue Associated Motorways beat Singer.
Singer: 155 off 44 overs ( Dayal Dharmaprema 24, Dinesh Dharmaratne 24, Kasun Dikkakumbura 24,D.Kumara 19, Anil Rideegammanagedera 2 for 22,Hasitha Rajapakse 4 for 24.)
Associated Motorways: 156 for 3 off 36 overs ( Janaka Kumudu 40, Nilantha Tillekeratne 62 n.o., Anil Rideegammanagedera 14, Dammika Sudharshana 17 n.o.).
