Mercantile Cricket: Chamath Perera helps CB

Chamath Perera smacked a run-a-ball half century to steer Commercial Bank to a four-wicket win over ACW Insurance in their Mercantile `A' division cricket match played at Reid Avenue yesterday.
Perera smashed four sixes and six fours in his innings of 78 scored off an equal number of deliveries as Commercial Bank passed ACW's total of 161 in the 38th over. He also captured two wickets to round off a good performance.
ACW Insurance 161 in 43.2 overs (M. Munasinghe 15, M. Prasanga 53, D. Balasuriya 18, S. Elvitigala 2 for 34, Chamath Perera 2 for 20, M. Jayasena 4 for 35)
Commercial Bank 162 for 6 in 37.2 overs (Chamath Perera 78, K. Jayaweera 27, M. Jayasena 15 n.o., S. Ranatunga 3 for 31, D. Samaraweera 2 for 25).
