Sri Rahula by 112 runs
SRI RAHULA registered a convincing win by 112 runs over Sri Sumangala in the second limited over cricket encounter for Daham Sondhamsoldage Trophy at Asgiriya on Thursday.
Sri Rahula scored 220 for 8 in 45 overs with Gamini Bandara top scoring with an unbeaten 78.
Sri Sumangala in reply were dismissed for 108 in 38 overs. C. Wijeratne was the Sri Rahula most successful bowler claiming 3 for 10.
Sri Rahula: 220 for 8 (G. Bandara 78 n.o., R. Warnasuriya 23, S. Bandara 19, C. Wijeratne 16, C. Telwaduna 14, D. Udayakumara 12, J. Rajapakse 2 for 35, C. Ratnayake 2 for 5).
Sri Sumangala: 108 (J. Bandara 28, I. Fernando 32, C. Wijeratne 3 for 10, N. Dissanayake 2 for 24, N. Ratnayake 2 for 17).
Gamini Bandara of Sri Rahula was selected the Man of the Match.
