Mahmud named Bangladesh team manager

Khaled Mahmud, the former Bangladesh captain, has been appointed the team manager for the Champions Trophy. The decision was taken during the Bangladesh Cricket Broad's executive meeting, which was held on Saturday.
The decision was also taken to increase the number of centrally contracted players from 20 to 23, with three new players being awarded rookie contracts. Saqibul Hasan, Farhad Reza and Mehrab Hossain Jr are now among the cricketers under the control of the board.
The executive committee also decided to extend the players' contracts, which were due to expire on September 30 to 12 months, meaning they will now cover the period include the Champions Trophy and World Cup.
