Australian team selected for third match of TOWER Super Challenge II

Australian Cricket Board (ACB) Chief Executive Officer James Sutherland today announced that the National Selection Panel (NSP) has chosen the Australian team for the third match of TOWER Super Challenge II, to be played at The Gabba in Brisbane today (Wednesday 19 June).

The team is:

Selection sees Matthew Hayden replace fellow Queenslander Jimmy Maher at the top of the batting order. Paceman Jason Gillespie returns to the side in favour of Brett Lee.

Pakistan has not confirmed its side and will announce it at the coin toss of today's game.

Today's final day/night match of TOWER Super Challenge II begins at 1415, with the innings break scheduled for 1745.
