The scorer of 124 for Cambridge in the 1927 Varsity Match, Arthur Kennedy Judd died on Feb 15, aged 84. A right-hand batsman and occasional legbreak bowler born on New Year's Day, 1904, Judd made 64 appearances for Hampshire between 1925 and 1935, his career being effectively ended by a posting to Nigeria in the 1930s. In all first-class matches he scored 2624 runs (21.33) with two centuries, and took 30 wickets at 34.53, with a best return of 6 for 65 for Hampshire against Somerset at Weston-super-Mare in 1928. He toured Jamaica in 1927-28 with L. H. Tennyson's XI, and made two trips to Egypt in the 1930s with H. M. Martineau's side.
