Mark Dobson, an ECB level three coach, began his cricketing career with Kent in 1989 who he represented for two seasons before joining Glamorgan in 1992. It was his last season as player but he turned to coaching and oversaw a number of Kent's Academy squads. In 2007 he succeeded Duncan Martindale as coach of the women's Super 4s Emeralds and, in June, was named the head coach of the England women's side. However, his tenure was brief and he walked out during England's tour of Australia in February 2008.
