Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium is the second flood light cricket stadium in Pakistan after Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. This stadium was constructed is the memory of Justice Asghar Ali Shah, father of renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. S.M.A Shah in 1993.

A number of International matches are played on this ground from time to time. First class domestic cricket and National One-day tournaments are played on this ground every year. Asghar Ali Shah cricket stadium is being mentioned in the Wisden book of cricket for the past several years Currently Asia cup under - 17 cricket tournament organised by ICC development Programme is being played on this ground. About 60% of Karachi's cricket including a number of national under - 19, Under -16, and Under - 14 tournaments are played every year.

Inter-school cricket and ladies cricket is also held regularly and during summer school / college functions, Daily Coaching camps are organised on this ground.
