The chairman of Cricket Scotland, Keith Oliver, has been nominated as one of the executive board directors of the ICC. The board is responsible for directing the ICC's activities and is made up of the chairmen of the ten Test playing countries (Full Members) and three representatives of the 94 Associate and Affiliate Members.
Oliver, a lawyer who has been heading Cricket Scotland since 2002, joins Singapore's Imran Khwaja and Neil Speight of Bermuda, who have both been re-elected, on the ICC board following the Associate and Affiliate Members election at their meeting in Singapore.
Roddy Smith, Cricket Scotland's chief executive, hailed Oliver's appointment. "It is fantastic news that Keith has secured a place on the ICC Executive Board. His experience and skills as a leading administrator in the game will be a great asset to the ICC."
