Ken Patel is one of Canada's leading umpires. An ACU&S member since 1995, he is an overseas umpiring instructor. He has officiated in many of the more important matches in Canada over the last few years including assignments for Canada against Bangladesh, West Indies A, India, Guyana, the MCC and Netherlands. He also acted as fourth umpire for Sahara Cup matches in Toronto in 1995 and 1996, and umpired at the Americas Cup in 2000. In 2001 he umpired at the ICC Trophy, and in 2002 travelled to Namibia to umpire in the Six Nations Challenge.
