Charlie Marshall was a left-hand top-order batsman who did not give his wicket away cheaply and for more than a decade was one of Bermuda's leading players. He was also a more than useful medium-pace bowler and a veteran of three ICC Trophies. He was expected to notch a fourth in 2005 but was chopped from the Bermuda squad following disciplinary issues, a move which seemed likely to end his international career.
