Bangladesh Under-19 208 for 4 (Mominul 63*, Anamul 52) beat Zimbabwe Under-19 204 (Mazhawidza 77, Chirimuta 51, Kamrul 3-37) by six wickets
Scorecard
Bangladesh Under-19 took a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series against Zimbabwe Under-19 with a convincing six-wicket win in Khulna. In pursuit of 205, they were boosted by a collective display, as each batsman chipped in with contributions towards the victory. Two that stood out were wicketkeeper Anamul Haque (52), who set the tone for a successful chase with an opening stand of 76 with Saikat Ali, and Mominul Haque, whose 80-ball 63, laced with six boundaries, guided his team home.
Zimbabwe's below-par score was a result of a collapse in the death overs, where they lost seven wickets for just 42. They were in a position to build a more competitive total, as half-centuries from Dean Mazhawidza (77) and Gary Chirimuta (51), had taken them to a strong position at 164 for 3 - the pair had added 110 for the fourth wicket. But Kamrun Islam's economical spell of 3 for 37, and support from the other bowlers, stopped Zimbabwe in their tracks, giving Bangladesh an opportunity to seal a comprehensive win.
