Bangladesh Under-19 100 for 3 (Anamul 56) beat England Under-19 97 (Saikat 3-11, Shaker 2-24) by seven wickets

A disciplined effort from the bowlers along with Anamul Haque's half-century handed Bangladesh Under-19 a comprehensive seven-wicket win against England Under-19 in Fatullah. It was a commanding performance from the hosts as they bowled out England for 97 and then polished off the target in 22.1 overs to take a 2-0 lead in the seven-match series.

England, after being put in, made a solid start with openers Joe Root and James Vince putting on 41 by the ninth over. But in a remarkable capitulation, triggered by right-arm seamers Abul Hasan and Saikat Ali, they lost their top five batsmen within the space of 11 runs. Shaker Ahmed and Sabbir Rahman then picked up two wickets apiece as England folded by the 36th over.

Anamul hogged the strike for most of the chase, hitting seven fours and two sixes during his 65-ball 56. The opening stand of 57 with Amit Majumder had set the tone, and it was ultimately the other Haques in the team, Tasamul and Mominul, who took them home. Paul Best managed to pick up two wickets but it only delayed the inevitable.
