Tasmania have been boosted ahead of their first home match of the Sheffield Shield season with Brett Geeves named to return after suffering a side strain. Geeves has been included in a 13-man squad for the match against South Australia at Bellerive Oval starting on Tuesday, having been a late withdrawal from last week's draw with New South Wales.
Geeves and the allrounder James Faulkner have been added to Tasmania's group, while Xavier Doherty, who was 12th man in Sydney, has been omitted. The Tigers are still searching for their first win of the summer, having taken their first points of the campaign when they grabbed a first-innings lead over New South Wales.
South Australia have made three additions from the team that took on Queensland a fortnight ago. The Redbacks have gained their captain Graham Manou, who has returned from Australian duties; Chris Duval, who has had a stomach strain; and Mark Cosgrove, who has had a hamstring problem. The trio replaces Cullen Bailey, Tom Cooper and Tim Ludeman, who have been omitted.
Tasmania squad Ed Cowan, Jon Wells, Alex Doolan, George Bailey (capt), Daniel Marsh, Travis Birt, Luke Butterworth, Brady Jones (wk), Jason Krejza, James Faulkner, Brett Geeves, Brendan Drew, Tim Macdonald.
South Australia squad Daniel Harris, James Smith, Michael Klinger, Mark Cosgrove, Cameron Borgas, Daniel Christian, Aaron O'Brien, Graham Manou (capt, wk), Matthew Weeks, Chris Duval, Jake Haberfield, Peter George.
