Another recent bowling import, Darren McNees signed on for Tasmania from Victoria in 2004-05 after touring India with the Academy. A tall, right-arm fast man, McNees played two Pura Cup matches last summer, finishing with six wickets, and also appeared in three ING Cup games, impressing on debut with 2 for 28 against Victoria and 2 for 35 against Queensland.
