Peter Clifford, playing for two state teams (New South Wales and Queensland) was a strong batsman. He first played for New South Wales, then moved to Brisbane/Gold Coast area where he then played cricket for Queensland. In 1984/85 he made an amazing 919 runs in 12 matches, which included 3 centuries, with a best of 143, and in 1985/86, he toured Zimbabwe with the New South Wales touring side. A very good player, who was unlucky not to play cricket for Australia. (Timothy Glover)
