Andrew Nicholas Barlow, one of Australia's foremost umpires who stood in first-class matches for more than twenty years, died in July at the age of 62. He
umpired in many Test matches between Australia and England, the West Indies and India. His first Test was at Melbourne in 1931 when the West Indies were touring
Australia.
